1. How long are treatments?

    Physio treatments - the initial treatment will last for up to an hour with subsequent visits lasting for 45 minutes to 1 hour. During your visit we will discuss the history of your injury or condition, possible triggers, causes and preventative measures to maintain optimal movement and functionality.

    Massage treatments - therapeutic, remedial, lymphatic drainage, myofacial or pregnancy massages are a 1 hour long treatment. Your initial treatment will include taking a history of your injury or condition to provide quality individual treatment designed just for you.

  2. Do I need a referral?

    No, anyone can make an appointment, however we do also accept referrals from Doctors, Medicare, workers compensation claims and third party insurance claims.

  3. What do I bring to my first appointment?

    Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to your first appointment as we have an initial form to be completed; if you require any assistance with this please bring someone with you or we are happy to help you complete this form, alternatively pop in and get a form to complete at home in your own time prior to your visit.

    Please bring any referrals, x-rays, scans, medication list and or any other relevant information as this will ensure we receive a holistic view of your current health status and condition.

  4. How do I make an appointment?

    If you would like to make an appointment call us today on 02 4950 6200, and we will endeavour to allocate you a time within 24 hours of your call.

  5. Does Edgeworth Physio bulk bill?

    No, however if you have a chronic pain condition you may be eligible to receive up to 5 visits on Medicare to Edgeworth Physiotherapy for treatments. Please discuss with your GP regarding your eligibility.

  6. What are your opening hours?

    Our opening hours are:
    Monday 8am - 5pm
    Tuesday 8:30am - 5pm
    Wednesday 8am - 5pm
    Thursday 8am - 4:30pm
    Friday 8am - 5pm
    Saturday 8am - 12 noon

  7. Payment - how much and how can I pay?

    Depending on the treatment programme and products you require to assist with your musculoskeletal condition, the cost may vary. We accept Eftpos and credit card payment for our treatment. We also have HICAPS facilities for private health fund claims.

  8. What do I do if I have a worker's compensation or third party insurance claim?

    Call Karen at Edgeworth Physiotherapy - she will walk you through the process and documentation you will need to bring with you to your appointment. Karen is very knowledgeable and has an understanding nature to assist with making this process an easy one.

  9. How does my health fund work in relation to my treatments?

    If you are in a health fund bring your membership card to your appointment, depending on your health fund cover the provider will pay a portion of your treatment costs. When you are at your appointment we will process this immediately and you will only be out of pocket for the gap charge.
